Privacy Policy
How this game handles data — written plainly, because there is very little of it to explain.
Zero Error: Permadeath does not ask you to create an account, and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location. Your game progress is stored on your own device. The only data that leaves your device is what Google's advertising and payment services need in order to work.
The game itself collects nothing. Two Google services built into the app do collect limited data:
| Data | Collected by | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID | Google AdMob | To serve ads and limit how often the same ad is shown |
| Device info | Google AdMob | Device model, OS version, and coarse region, so ads render correctly |
| Purchase record | Google Play Billing | To confirm a heart pack purchase and deliver it to your game |
Payment details are handled entirely by Google Play. The game never sees, receives, or stores your card number or billing information.
Your stage progress, star balance, revive hearts, best runs, and local rankings are saved in the app's own storage on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere and are not visible to the developer. Uninstalling the game deletes them.
The game shows rewarded video ads, which you choose to watch in exchange for in-game rewards, and occasional interstitial ads between runs. These are served by Google AdMob.
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time from your device settings, under Settings → Google → Ads on Android, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on iOS. Doing so limits ad personalisation without affecting the game.
AdMob's own handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy for partner sites and apps.
Heart packs are one-time purchases processed by Google Play Billing. The game receives only a confirmation that a purchase succeeded, and grants the corresponding hearts. Refunds and payment disputes are handled by Google Play, not by the developer.
This game is intended for players aged 16 and over. It is not directed to children, is not enrolled in the Google Play Families programme, and is not designed for use by young children. If you believe a child has used the game on your device, resetting the advertising identifier in device settings clears the only identifier involved.
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated, and the current version will always be available at this address. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
